W8UM has the capability to place the Kenwood TS-2000 into Sky Command mode upon request. The Kenwood Sky Command System allows you to use the TH-D72A or D-710 radio for remote access into the TS-2000. Operating as the Commander, your TH-D72A / D-710 transmits control signals to the Transporter, which also relays your voice to the HF radio. In return, HF signals are transmitted back to the Commander. This system allows you to transmit and receive HF signals from your Kenwood HT/mobile radio.
